Perhaps taking a cue from the Ghent-lemen in Belgium, San Francisco has passed Meat Free Monday legislation, Meat Free Monday legislation-the first of its kind in the United States!
While the resolution won’t be mandated, supervisor Sophie Maxwell urges all restaurants, groceries and schools to offer more vegetarian options.

Im so jealous! The governor of Michigan tried to do ONE DAY a year meatless, and sh*t hit the fan. Cant please everyone….

It’s so strange to me how people can’t wrap their heads around going meatless for one day a week. I hope other cities will follow San Fran’s lead soon.
