Eating healthily and taking enough exercise are lifestyle essentials that are known to give huge benefits, both physically and mentally. But do most people follow the advice given out in newspapers and magazines and on television?
Hardly a day passes without a news story appearing which relates to the dangers of bad nutrition and the 21st-century habit of sedentary pursuits. Good intentions are there in abundance, but few act upon them.

Of course, exercise should be built into everyday life. Walking rather than taking the car or bus is a simple way of taking exercise. Going to the gym is not necessary, but it is important to enjoy the exercise being taken. Human nature steers us away from things we do not like, so take up something which will become a permanent fixture in your life.

Some enjoy exercising so much they take it to another level and really start to build on their fitness levels.
